Don't let go over the holidays

You probably here it every year, especially once Thanksgiving comes along and through all the holidays... watch what you eat, you will gain weight, etc. Truth is that from which ever source you have heard it... it is true.

I mean lets be honest with all the celebrations, the food, the drinking, the pastries... I know it's hard to resist them all - all the time! I get it it, it's human nature. In reality no matter how hard you may try to avoid it, you know you will indulge on various occasions.

So then, what can you do to balance things out? Well for starters just because it's the holidays it's no excuse to just let go of yourself. If you know that you will be in a more celebrative mode, you will eat and drink a little more than usual then my recommendation is you need to increase the intensity and frequency of your workouts and cardio program NOW and in between the following weeks. Doing so will allow you to sort of balance the equation.

Make sure that in between the parties or gatherings you eat 90% of the time clean. Meaning avoid starches, limit carbohydrates, but eat plenty of vegetables, up your protein intake, eat healthy fats, avoid alcohol on those days, drink plenty of water and taking in some good vitamins.

There are many more things you could do to ensure that not only you don't gain weight during the holidays, but you burn fat in the process. For example many of my clients have taken part in our annual Holiday Fat Loss Challenge which on average every year my clients lose about 5 - 7 pounds of fat while everyone else stays the same or gains weight.

You could do something similar to help create accountability and help you to stick to a routine when it comes to eating and exercising.

However if at the very least you follow the above suggestions, you will be able to cruise through the holidays without fear of gaining unwanted weight.

Cheers!!

Dedicated to your success!!
